Our on-demand fridge disposal service for homes and businesses is available as part of a general clearance or as a specific collection and covers the removal of fridge freezers from anywhere on your premises.
Millions of domestic refrigeration (fridges, fridge-freezers and freezers) units are disposed of in the UK each year. We are doing our part for the environment by providing compliant fridge/freezer collection services across West Kent and East Sussex for over a decade.
Disposing of a fridge or freezer can be an extremely difficult process. Not only because the size of the unit but also because your fridge needs to be collected and recycled in a responsible way, adhering to all relevant laws and guidelines.
We reply to requests same day, usually within the hour. Why wait weeks when we can often do the job same day.
Our crews are friendly and tidy. We work as quietly and as quickly as we can and always leave the area swept and clean.
Our services start at just £45. We only charge you for the weight per cubic yard in most instances. Hazardous materials may incur a handling surcharge.
We love the beautiful countryside of Kent and Sussex and take environmental responsibility very seriously.
Disposing of a fridge freezer can seem confusing and more trouble than it once was. Some components of fridges can be extremely harmful to the environment. As a result the disposal of fridge freezers is now tightly regulated.
Since January 2002, all ozone-depleting substances (ODS) must be removed from a fridge before it can be recycled or thrown away by law.
Pentane fridges are now officially classed as Hazardous Waste. As a result, metal recycling plants are no longer able to shred pentane fridges. They now need to be sent to a dedicated reprocessing facility to be safely degassed before recycling can take place.
Anyone found not disposing of a fridge freezer properly – and this includes fly tipping – is eligible for prosecution and a fine of up to £2,500
Over the years we've found that a quick call to let us know exactly what fridge/freezer you have is usually the easiest way to see if we can help you. Text or uploading an image is also helpful so we can learn exactly what is required.
Our team is ready to assist you with whatever you need.
